Durable sealing systems for firefighting water basins.
A firefighting water basin must be available in an emergency. We seal the base and slopes with geomembranes and meticulously create all connections.
Base and slope sealing
Anyone having a firefighting water basin sealed needs a continuously sealed surface from the base to the crest of the slope. We install geomembranes – often made of PEHD – together with suitable protective layers.
Connections and edge termination
We create concrete connections, pipe penetrations, extraction points, and edge terminations using clamping profiles and appropriate details. The execution is based on the specific design plan.
Welding and quality assurance
Seams are professionally welded, tested, and documented. This creates a traceable quality assurance for clients and operators.
ENIG in-house development
Groundwater pressure in geomembrane-sealed basins.
If external groundwater is present, it can exert upward pressure on the sealing system when the basin is empty or partially drained. Whether and how this influence must be considered depends on the specific site. The ENIG groundwater pressure compensation system provides a proprietary technical solution for this.
